(Please forward). I don't believe this project of the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) has yet received the attention it deserves. "The Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic (CIPPIC) was established at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law in the fall of 2003. It is the first legal clinic of its kind in Canada." http://www.cippic.ca/ "The development of a Canadian Creative Commons license is aimed at facilitating the development of online resources to enable creators to better understand and manage their digital rights in Canada." http://www.cippic.ca/icommons-canada The Creative Commons licenses are subject-matter independent agreements that accomplish for non-software works what Free/Libre and Open Source Software licenses accomplish for software. This allows all types of creators to join the "commons-based peer production" movement as peers in this very interesting creative process. It is great to see this generalization happening and hope that creators of all types will continue to make connections.
