Nous sommes à la recherche d’un expert Linux pour occuper un poste de « senior file system engineer ». Voici un bref résumé des tâches à accomplir. Veuillez noter qu’il s’agit d’un poste ou l’on doit être bilingue. C’est un poste permanent à Montréal avec une échelle salariale de +/- 85k. Senior File System Engineer
Position Summary:
- Research, develop, prototype and implement clustered file system designs.
- Devise storage allocation strategies, RAID integration, meta-data schemes, and caching algorithms, to deliver maximum system performance across DCC application workloads.
- Design and development of IO subsystems, device management and file system configuration and management tools.
- Development of new software modules and end-user features.
- Diagnose and solve issues related to developed modules or current features.
- Integration of clustering technology into the company’s current storage line.
Experience:
- Extensive knowledge in SMP and general cluster infrastructure concepts.
- Solid working knowledge of Linux and the inner working of its kernel.
- Fluency in low-level Linux networking, network file systems and/or storage systems and protocols.
- Experience with systems programming, SMP programming in addition to kernel programming and/or concepts.
- Background in one or several of the following fields: distributed systems, High Performance Computing, and high-performance storage.
Technical & Educational Requirements:
- Strong understanding of operating system internals, schedulers, file system (VFS), network protocol stacks and virtual memory management.
- Hands-on knowledge in TCP/IP networking and device drives/protocols (FC, SCSI, PCI-E, Infiniband, etc.)
- Development experience with FCP, NFS and CIFS layers.
- Proficiency in the C programming language and other shell programming languages.
- Experience in scripting languages like Perl and Python is a plus.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent field, 7+ years of development experience.
