Linux for Windows is a special Mandrake install that uses the Windows
file system instead of a Linux filesystem. It creates a *huge* file in
the Windows drive, and uses this as a loopback device. Pretty clever, it
saves from repartitionning and reformatting.

The only problem is, if you installed Mandrake the usual way before, and
then removed the device, and didn't use fdisk /MBR, it will of course
fail.

I recommend you re-install, but *NOT* use Linux for Windows. Use the
recommended installation, and everything will go back to normal. It will
fix your MBR, and use the empty partition.

Or better yet, Mandrake 9.1RC2 is appearing on the mirrors, you might
want to download and install this version instead, there has been lots
of improvements. There might be a few bugs remaining, but send the
reports, we'll fix them =)
