Pour le fun, je joint ("replacé" dans l'ordre chronologique) un
échange suite à ces recherches...
Amusez vous bien,

Hello,
On the Mac OS X page, I read "running with Intel processors" but I
understoud "running on (so called) PCs"... Then I spent a lot of time on
this site (and its french version) to verify that... I dreamed! I
developped a (great :-) application on Mac while it was using Motorola's
family processors. It was a "scientific" application called «HUIT»: an
indegrated developpement environnement. I gave up with Apple when Apple
decided to pass to the power PC processor because:
- I did not get anything back from this developpement (at least a positive
feedback on free demonstration floppies sent here or there),
- the cost of transition to PPC was too big for me (developping was done as
hobby).
- Software adaptation (remember, it was suggested to leave Pascal and pass
to C, too).
Now, I use Linux and KDE. It's great. But seeing my reaction after the
reading of Mac OS X home page, I hunderstand that I am still "in love" with
MAC**. So here is my question:
-Is it possible that Mac OS X runs (or will run) as a virtual machine with
Xen version of Linux core? or, but I guess response will be negative:
- Could it be possible that in the future, Mac OS X will run on a standard
PC?. In that case, I (and I suppose a great deal of other [frustrated]
users too) would be ready to get, as fast as possible, the famous OS X for
some 130US$. But Appel is a great builder of great hardwares running great
softwares, then Appel is an hardware dealer, not a software dealer... I
regret that! Further more, I remember that Microsoft (or Pablo EscoGates
himself?) invested more than 1 million$ in Apple, escaping it from death,
but making hard now for Apple OSs to become a real competitor of
WindOverDose...
Thanks for the attention you paid to that mail. I would really
apreciate a feedback, what ever the length of it text...
Patrick Serru [a great frustrated man]
** So called "Ma danseuse" (translatable in "my naked danser"): in France,
this expression projects the image of a respectable man beeing stupidely in
love with a woman light enough to be a naked dancer, who just cost him a
lot of money with only frustration back from here :-)
