Put your data on a ReiserFS partition. Keep your boot partition
ext2 though, because LILO can't (yet) boot ReiserFS. It is my
understanding that ReiserFS keeps information in a balanced
binary tree. There's no concept of block size (I've been told).
My coworker has been running ReiserFS for last couple of months,
and it has been rock solid for him. He says that disk i/o is as
much as 30% higher than ext2.
Contact me if you'd like to talk to him.
Cheers,
Pascal
