I too have messed up with the /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit
file to change the PATH globally for the system.Since then I am not able to
boot anymore. I tried to follow your instructions but I can't seem to be
able to umount the root file system which is where the /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit
resides. Since the file system is mounted for read only access I can't
correct my mistake.
Am I doomed and must reinstall everything from
scratch?I am fairly new to Linux but that will teach me not to play where I
canhurt myself.
Any comments!Thanks!
